Mrs. Maryland America 2011
“Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don't quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don't quit until you reach it. Never quit.”
–Coach Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant
Throughout my lifetime I have been presented with many challenging situations both emotionally and financially. As a young woman who was constantly looking for direction, I became involved in pageantry so I could educate myself in many areas of life such as interviewing skills, poise, confidence and leadership. Once I was crowned as the new Mrs. Maryland America my life literally flashed before my eyes. Suddenly I realized that I had been able to turn my obstacles into opportunities. Most of all, I never gave up!
Because of my life experiences I am able to relate to other women who may be in need of clothing for a special occasion or an interview. It is my goal to provide prom, homecoming, pageant or formalwear to women who would otherwise miss out on life because they are not able to buy special occasion wear. I founded Undiscovered Belle, a non-profit organization.
I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who is also my best friend. David brings out the very best of me. There is never a dull moment in our house! We have two Maltese puppies and one very loving cat who can keep us on our toes. Together we enjoy traveling and spending time with our friends and family.
